This was the original logo, created by Glory Hound’s previous designer for 2023:
First Redesign
Here is my redesign of the logo for 2024; the idea was to improve the look while keeping the image recognizable:
Ultimately, the event organizer decided he wanted a more complete redesign, something to indicate that the race starts when the moon is out and ends after sunset. The client also specified that the design shouldn’t be totally different – that people should still be able to identify from the logo that this was the same Land and Lakes race as years past.
